Pakistan hopes for talks post polls; PM Narendra Modi says crushed its n-threat

PM Modi also accused the Congress of “stopping the Army from taking        strong action against terrorists”, as it feared “a 1962-type situation”.

 Addressing a rally in Jammu on Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said Islamabad’s nuclear threats had been blown to bits, adding that he didn’t bow before any such “dhamki”. He also accused the Congress of “stopping the Army from taking strong action against terrorists”, as it feared “a 1962-type situation”.

At the rally in Kathua, he accused National Conference and Peoples Democratic Party leaders of issuing threats of “seceding from India” every day. “Yeh pehle Pakistan bhi nuclear ki dhamki deta tha. Uski nuclear ke parkhachchey nikal gaye ki nahin (Earlier Pakistan too used to give nuclear threats. Haven’t we blown that to bits)?” he said. “Gone are the days when the government of India used to come under pressure following threats. This is new India and we will kill terrorists right inside their houses and also expose those supporting them.”

Gujarat: Six held for illegal lion show in Gir

The accused were detained by the staff of Junagadh forest division on Sunday while they were watching and harassing an Asiatic lion on the bank of the Hiran river in Mandor village on Sunday. Revenue areas are not considered part of the wildlife sanctuary. SIX Persons, including a juvenile, were held by the forest department on Monday after they were allegedly caught red-handed organising an illegal lion show in revenue area Veraval taluka of Gir Somnath district. Three students feared drowned near Pune, search on

As per Pune rural police, the incident took place around 7 am, when a group of six to seven students pursuing MBA course at a college in Pune went to Mulshi dam reservoir in Valne village. Three students, including a girl, who was part of a group that had gone for a trip to Mulshi dam area near Pune on Thursday morning, are feared drowned after they went for a swim, police said. As per Pune rural police, the incident took place around 7 am, when a group of six to seven students pursuing MBA course at a college in Pune went to Mulshi dam reservoir in Valne village, around 40 kilometers from Pune city. Three of the students went for a swim and disappeared after a while, following which other students alerted local residents and police. A search has been launched by local residents and a team from district disaster management along with the police.
